Good news for the dog people: the pass and the pup are compatible. Pets fly in-cabin on GoWild fares under the same rules as any other Frontier ticket. Read this before you book the beach trip with your terrier.
The cost
The in-cabin pet fee is $149 per direction on the airline's current fee schedule. On a $15 GoWild fare that means your pet costs ten times what you do, a fun fact to share with them mid-flight. Round trip with a pet, you're looking at roughly $330 all-in for the two of you, which still undercuts most cash fares for one human.
Carrier rules
- Hard-sided carriers max out at 18 x 14 x 8 inches; soft-sided carriers get a bit more headroom at 18 x 14 x 11. Either way the carrier rides under the seat, and your pet needs to be able to stand and turn around inside.
- The carrier counts as one of your items. You're entitled to two items total onboard including the pet carrier, so plan for the carrier plus one personal item, and pack accordingly.
- Your pet stays in the carrier, under the seat, for the whole flight.

Where you can't sit
Traveling with a pet excludes you from Row 1 and exit rows, since under-seat space and evacuation rules apply. If you were planning to buy extra legroom, check whether your chosen row allows pets before paying for the seat.
Practical notes from pet passholders
- Exercise the pet hard before the airport. A tired dog is a quiet dog at 35,000 feet.
- Line the carrier with an absorbent pad. Turbulence affects everyone.
- Carry vaccination records; some states and all international destinations have requirements, and international pet travel has its own rulebook entirely.
- Short nonstops beat connections with a pet, even when the connection is cheaper. Your pet can't tell you they need a break, and as we covered in the fees post, nonstops cost less in taxes anyway.
